The extraction of high quality DNA, from plant, insect and environmental sample, that does not inhibit the PCR has been one of the main problems in using PCR as a diagnosis tool. The removal of phenolic compounds has been performed by the use of PVPP in DNA extraction from plant material to detect Xanthomonas campestris.
